Help a Blind Person Get a Seeing-eye Soul Mate
Vistarr’s ophthalmologists and optometrists are dedicated to promoting eye health in our community through meaningful work on behalf of the visually impaired. Therefore, the practice has selected the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, an organization that breeds and trains guide dogs, as their philanthropic partner. We have also established the “Vistarr Visionary” program to allow members of the community to take part in this exciting venture.
Meet The “Starr” of the Show
The foundation depends solely on contributions for the $30,000 it costs to breed and train each Labrador and golden retriever and its owner. Vistarr has made an initial donation to the foundation for a puppy called Starr. After training, Starr will be matched with a blind person from the Philadelphia area, who will receive 25 days of residential training, free of charge, on the foundation’s campus on Long Island, N.Y.
You Can Support This Worthy Program
Just print a few Vistarr Visionary Certificates. Pass them on to your friends and relatives and ask them to bring a certificate to their first appointment at our offices in West Chester, Kennett Square or Paoli, Pennsylvania. When they do, we’ll make a donation to the foundation.
That way, you can help a friend or relative enjoy world-class eye care and help match blind people in Western Pennsylvania with seeing-eye dogs.
